- Hold
a commercial pilot certificate
- Hold
an instrument rating
- Hold
a valid first-class airman's medical certificate
- Pass
an examination on aeronautical knowledge
- Have
at least 1,500 flight hours, including the following:
- 500
flight hours of cross country time
- 75
hours of actual or simulated instrument flight time
at least 50 hours of which were in actual flight
- 100
flight hours at night including:
- 20
night takeoffs and landings (1 additional night
takeoff and landing to a full stop may be substituted
for 1 hour of night flight requirement. However,
not more than 25 hours of night flight may be credited
in this manner.)
- Pass
an oral and practical examination on maneuvers, regulations,
procedures and other pertinent data
